The Blackstone Valley Spinners delivered a statement performance in Game 2 of the CNEBA Championship Series, overwhelming the Lunenburg Phillies by a final score of 8–1 to clinch the first championship in program history.
From the moment the Spinners broke through in the fourth inning, there was no doubt who owned the night—or the series.
Blackstone Valley struck for three runs in the top of the fourth, igniting the offense and silencing the home crowd. Liam O’Connell and Donavon Lopez each delivered RBI singles, and Ruben Fernandez followed with a sacrifice fly to cap a decisive rally that cracked the game open. From there, the Spinners never looked back, adding insurance runs and applying constant pressure with disciplined at-bats and timely hitting.
While the bats were relentless, the night truly belonged to Kyle Palardy.
In one of the most dominant pitching performances in championship history, Palardy went the distance—seven innings, one hit, one run, seven strikeouts, and just one walk. He carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning, retiring hitters with confidence and command for 6.1 flawless innings before a single swing finally broke it up. Regardless, the outing stands as the finest display of pitching the league has ever seen on a championship stage—possibly of all time. It was poised, powerful, and unforgettable. Offensively, the Spinners tallied 10 hits, with contributions throughout the lineup. Jack Dwyer led the way with a 2-for-3 night, while Colin Favata, O’Connell, Lopez, Fernandez, and Marcus Baker each drove in a run. Defensively, Blackstone Valley was flawless—zero errors, clean execution, and complete focus in the biggest game the organization has ever played.

Lights-Out Pitching Powers Spinners to Gritty Game 1 Championship Win
October-level intensity met August baseball on Thursday night, and the Blackstone Valley Spinners rose to the moment.
Behind dominant pitching and timely early offense, the Blackstone Valley Spinners edged the Lunenburg Phillies 3–2 in a tightly contested Game 1 of the CNEBA Championship Series, seizing an early edge in the best-of-three showdown.
The Spinners struck first and fast under the lights at Renaud Field. A first-inning RBI single from Jack Dwyer ignited the home crowd, and Blackstone Valley doubled down in the second inning with RBI knocks from Colin Favata and Kyler Lorenz, jumping out to a 3–0 lead and putting immediate pressure on Lunenburg.
From there, it became a battle of wills on the mound.
Domenic Brazeau was outstanding once again on the championship stage, delivering five gritty innings while mixing command and composure. He punched out six and worked out of traffic when needed, bending but never breaking as Lunenburg clawed back with a two-run homer in the fourth to cut the deficit to one.
That would be as close as it got.

Spinners Set for Championship Showdown with Rival Lunenburg Phillies
The stage is officially set for the CNEBA Championship, and the Blackstone Valley Spinners are right where they want to be.
The Spinners will face familiar rivals, the Lunenburg Phillies, after Lunenburg completed an impressive semifinal run against the Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs. After dropping Game 1 by a 5–0 score, the Phillies responded with resilience and poise, going on the road in Game 2 and edging Shrewsbury 5–4 on August 2. They carried that momentum into the decisive Game 3 on Monday night, August 4, delivering a commanding 7–2 victory at McLaughlin Park to clinch the series. Up to this point, Lunenburg has been dominant at home, posting a 10–4 record at McLaughlin Park.
Now, all eyes turn to a championship matchup that has been building all season.
The Blackstone Valley Spinners enter the title series playing their best baseball of the year. Lorenz and Blackstone Valley Offense Propels Spinners to Semifinals Sweep of Auburn
The Blackstone Valley Spinners left no doubt on Saturday, rolling to a 17–6 victory on the road at Aaron Krock Field to secure Game 2 of the semifinals and officially clinch their first-ever semifinals series win.
The Spinners’ offense was relentless from the start, and Kyler Lorenz was at the center of it all. Lorenz drove in four runs on three hits, delivering run-scoring doubles in both the third and sixth innings and adding an RBI single in the fourth. His consistent production kept the pressure on all afternoon and broke the game wide open.
Blackstone Valley struck first in the second inning, manufacturing runs through aggressive, team-first baseball. The bats truly ignited in the third, when the Spinners plated five runs on a string of timely hits, highlighted by Lorenz’s two-run double and a two-run double from JP Lucier.
The momentum only continued as the game wore on. In the fifth inning, Ruben Fernandez crushed a three-run home run to left field, putting the game firmly out of reach and punctuating a dominant offensive showing.
On the mound, Kyle Palardy earned the win, and the bullpen trio of Ethan Harnois, Owen Aivaliotis, and Justin Odsen shut things down in relief, preserving the Spinners’ advantage and closing the door on any comeback hopes.

Blackstone Valley Spinners Defeat Auburn Rockets 3–1 in Pitcher’s Duel to Open Semifinals
Strong pitching and timely execution powered the Blackstone Valley Spinners to a 3–1 victory over the Auburn Rockets in Game 1 of the semifinals, a best-of-three series, on Friday night at Renaud Field in Woonsocket, RI.
The Rockets struck first with an early run, but the Spinners’ staff settled in and controlled the tempo from there. Domenic Brazeau was fantastic in his semifinal start, working six composed innings and keeping Auburn in check while piling up strikeouts and consistently getting ahead in counts. His ability to limit damage set the tone for the night and kept the Spinners within striking distance.
The turning point came in the bottom of the fifth inning, when the Spinners’ offense flashed the clutch gene. Ruben Fernandez sparked the rally by reaching base, stealing second, and advancing to third on a throwing error. Favata followed by drawing a walk and promptly stealing second, putting pressure on the defense and setting the table. With runners in scoring position, Marcus Baker delivered the decisive blow—a two-RBI double that flipped the game and gave the Spinners a 2–1 lead they would not relinquish.

Blackstone Valley Spinners Enter Postseason Riding Dominant Regular Season
As the calendar turns to postseason play in August, the Blackstone Valley Spinners finish the 2025 regular season exactly where they wanted to be—playing their best baseball, riding momentum, and backed by one of the most dominant statistical resumes in the league. Across 23 Regular season games (27 including non-league games), the Spinners combined explosive offense, disciplined pitching, and meaningful development from both veterans and rookies to separate themselves from the field.
Position Players: Consistency, Clutch Moments, and Rookie Impact
Offensively, Blackstone Valley finished the regular season hitting .306 as a team with an .863 OPS, applying pressure from the first inning to the last in every game. Rookie 3B/OF Donavon Lopez was the model of consistency all summer, anchoring the middle of the lineup and leading the team in on-base percentage (.559). Lopez added two home runs, drove in 14 runs, and consistently set the table in big moments.
Rookie OF Jack Dwyer, who repeatedly came through in pressure moments, delivered production and presence near the top of the lineup. Dwyer finished with 22 RBIs, multiple home runs, and a steady stream of extra-base hits, serving as one of the team’s most reliable run producers.
Chris Goode complemented that production with clutch hitting throughout the season, piling up a team leading 10 extra-base hits of his own and finishing with 18 RBIs while consistently delivering in key situations. His stellar defense was present in Centerfield in every single CNEBA regular season game and now becomes the Blackstone Valley Spinners leader in Doubles with 13 in only his second season with the club.
Veteran 1B Aidan McEvoy, in his fourth season with the Blackstone Valley Spinners, provided the thunder in the heart of the order. McEvoy finished the regular season leading the team with four home runs and 23 RBIs. Time and time again, McEvoy delivered momentum-shifting swings that changed games and energized the dugout. McEvoy now holds club records in three categories; Career Hits, Career Homeruns, and Career RBI’s in Blackstone Valley Spinners history.
Defensively, the Spinners were just as sharp. Catchers Marcus Baker and Tyler Bellan were outstanding behind the plate, controlling the running game, and handling a deep pitching staff. In the middle of the diamond, shortstop Kyler Lorenz provided spectacular defense, anchoring the infield with range, instincts, and reliability.
Pitching Staff: Innings, Strikeouts, and Depth
The Spinners’ pitching staff finished the regular season with a 2.76 team ERA, consistently keeping opponents in check and allowing the offense to play from ahead. Kyle Palardy served as the workhorse of the rotation, logging 32.1 innings and striking out 43 hitters while setting the tone every time he took the ball. Domenic Brazeau matched that reliability, throwing 28.1 innings with 45 strikeouts and attacking hitters with confidence and efficiency. Will Ernst handled a heavy workload as well, totaling 32.2 innings and 21 strikeouts, providing stability throughout the summer against some of the toughest opponents and lineups in the CNEBA.
The rookie arms elevated the staff to another level. James Borsari, the hardest-throwing pitcher on the roster, was electric in his regular season appearances, striking out 25 hitters over 15 innings while posting a sub-1.00 ERA and thriving in high-leverage spots. Justin Odsen added versatility and poise, recording 24 strikeouts across 18 innings and consistently delivering quality outings in both starting and relief roles. The depth and balance of the staff proved critical during stretches of dense scheduling.
Winning Streaks and Monthly Momentum
Blackstone Valley’s regular season was defined by sustained runs of success. The Spinners opened June with a five-game winning streak and never looked back, finishing the month with an 11–3 record. From June 21 through July 14, they rattled off a seven-game winning streak, the longest in the league. Later in July, they added another five-game winning streak, closing the regular season with confidence and focus. The Spinners finished July at 7–2, carrying strong momentum into postseason play.
Regular Season Results vs. Opponents
That momentum showed clearly in the numbers. Against Shrewsbury, widely considered their toughest opponent, the Spinners finished 3-3 (.500) while still outscoring them 28–21 across six tightly contested games. In their rivalry matchup with Lunenburg, Blackstone Valley took the season series 3–2 (.600) and held a decisive 33–16 edge in runs scored. The Spinners were dominant against Auburn, sweeping the season series 6–0 (1.000) while outscoring them 61–20, and controlled their matchups with Tatnuck as well, finishing 5–1 (.833) with a 30–10 run advantage. Altogether, Blackstone Valley outscored its CNEBA opponents 154–47 over the course of the regular season.

Blackstone Valley Spinners Claw Back, Fall Just Short in Regular Season Finale
The Blackstone Valley Spinners nearly erased a four-run deficit in the fifth inning but ultimately fell just short in an 8–7 loss to their rival the Lunenburg Phillies on Thursday at McLaughlin Park in Leominster, MA. Despite the setback, the Spinners showed resilience until the final out in their last regular season game of the summer.
Blackstone Valley jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first inning. Aidan McEvoy delivered a clutch two-run single, and Tyler Bellan followed with an RBI double to put the Spinners ahead 3–0. The offense stayed hot in the second when Donavon Lopez launched a solo home run to center field, extending the lead to four.
After the Phillies responded with a big inning, the Spinners continued to battle. McEvoy powered the comeback effort in the sixth inning with a solo home run to left field, and JP Lucier worked a bases-loaded walk to bring another run home. Blackstone Valley brought the tying run to the plate but couldn’t quite complete the rally.
McEvoy led the Spinners offensively, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Lopez also recorded two hits, including his solo homer. Lucier showcased discipline at the plate, drawing two walks as part of a six-walk night for the Spinners. The defense turned a key double play to help keep the game within reach.

Blackstone Valley Spinners Clinch First-Ever Regular Season Title, Eye Deep Playoff Run
For the first time in team history, the Blackstone Valley Spinners are officially the regular season champions.
With just two games remaining—a home-and-home series against the second-place Lunenburg Phillies—the Spinners have secured the league’s top seed and capped off a dominant stretch that leaves no doubt about their status as the team to beat entering the playoffs. Winners of 12 of their last 13 games over the past five weeks, the Spinners have surged past the competition with a lethal combination of timely offense, clean defense, and elite pitching.
The Spinners’ pitching staff has been nothing short of dominant. Seven different arms, including three starting pitchers, currently boast ERAs under 1.70. As a group, the staff has racked up 182 strikeouts in just 146 innings pitched, while holding opposing hitters to a mere .221 batting average and in addition holding a strong 2.35 ERA. Opponents have managed just 123 hits and 62 walks across 22 games, scoring a total of 59 runs—only 49 of which are earned. That kind of consistency on the mound has been the foundation of the team’s success and a nightmare for anyone stepping into the batter’s box.
Offensively, the Spinners have been equally impressive. The team boasts a slash line of .305 / .441 / .422 (AVG / OBP / SLG), combining relentless on-base ability with legitimate power. They’ve racked up 179 hits, 46 of them for extra bases, including 32 doubles, 6 triples, and 8 home runs. That production has led to 128 RBIs out of 145 total runs scored. Speed has also been a weapon, with 49 stolen bases keeping pressure on opposing defenses. This lineup is incredibly tough to pitch against from top to bottom—there isn’t a single hole in the order.

Spinners Complete Season Sweep of Auburn with 6-3 Victory in Suspended Game Finish
The Blackstone Valley Spinners closed out their regular season series against Auburn with a 6-3 win on Wednesday at Renaud Field, completing a perfect 6-0 sweep and outscoring their opponent 61-20 across those six matchups. This game was a continuation of a suspended contest originally started on July 1st and resumed in the top of the third inning.
Domenic Brazeau continued his dominant season on the mound, having pitched two strong innings on July 1st before returning Wednesday to throw two more scoreless frames. He finished with four innings pitched, allowing just two hits and one run, while striking out six and walking one.
The Spinners got on the board early with a sacrifice fly from Jack Dwyer in the bottom of the first on July 1st. They broke the game open in the third today with a five-run outburst on just two hits. Chris Goode doubled in a run, Colin Favata brought in another on a fielder’s choice, and a defensive error added one more before Liam O’Connell capped the rally with a two-run single.
James Borsari followed Brazeau out of the bullpen and locked things down, tossing two scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and striking out three.
O’Connell led the offense with two RBIs, going 1-for-3 on the day. Goode went 2-for-4 to pace the team in hits with two doubles. The Spinners remained aggressive and disciplined at the plate, working six walks, with Kyle Palardy drawing two of them. Palardy and Rylan Secovich each swiped multiple bases, as the team racked up six steals overall. Defensively, the Spinners turned two double plays and played a clean game in the field.

The Blackstone Valley Spinners exploded for seven runs in the first inning to take control early and went on to defeat Tatnuck 9-1 on Monday at Renaud Field. Key contributions in the opening frame included an RBI single by Chris Goode, an RBI double from Tyler Bellan, a run scoring on an error, and a productive groundout by Marcus Baker.
Kyle Palardy earned the win, going five innings and allowing just three hits and one unearned run. He struck out six and walked two, keeping Tatnuck off balance throughout his outing. Patrick O’Connell and Cameron Lataille followed in relief and shut the door with strong performances.
JP Lucier drove in three runs from the seventh spot in the lineup, going 1-for-2 on the day. Ruben Fernandez led the team with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate.

Complete Sunday Doubleheader Sweep to Move to 5-0 in Season Series
The Blackstone Valley Spinners capped off a dominant doubleheader sweep on Sunday with an 8-1 win over Auburn at Aaron Krock Field in Worcester, improving to 5-0 against them this season. The victory followed a come-from-behind 13-6 win earlier in the day in a continuation of a suspended game.
The Spinners struck first in the opening inning when Jack Dwyer doubled home a run. They held a 4-0 lead before breaking things open in the seventh with four more runs. A costly error plated one, and Aidan McEvoy followed with a towering three-run homer to left field to seal the win.
Patrick O’Connell got the start for the Spinners, tossing a scoreless first inning with two strikeouts. Will Ernst earned the win in relief, throwing two shutout innings while allowing four hits, striking out two, and walking two. McEvoy’s Clutch Performance Fuels Spinners’ Comeback Over Auburn
The Blackstone Valley Spinners completed a stunning comeback Sunday at Aaron Krock Field in Worcester, rallying to defeat Auburn 13-6 in the continuation of a suspended game from July 9th. The game resumed in the top of the fifth inning with the Spinners trailing 6-5, no outs, and a runner on first base. As the away team, the Spinners were at the plate—and they wasted no time turning the tide.
Aidan McEvoy delivered the decisive blow in a monster fifth inning, driving in four runs on two hits. He launched a two-run home run to left field on a full count and later added a two-run single, helping power a 10-run explosion that flipped the game on its head and gave the Spinners a commanding 12-6 lead.
Will Ernst started the game for the Spinners on July 9th, pitching two innings and allowing three runs on five hits. Owen Aivaliotis was first out of the bullpen hurling just one inning, followed by Justin Odsen, who pitched the bottom of the fourth before the game was suspended. When play resumed on July 20th, Odsen returned to the mound and finished the game, tossing three additional scoreless innings while allowing four hits, striking out two, and walking none.
The Spinners pounded out 11 hits in the game and showed exceptional plate discipline, drawing 12 walks. Jack Dwyer led the way with a 3-for-4 performance, while Marcus Baker went 2-for-3. Kyle Palardy, Kyler Lorenz, Chris Goode, and Tyler Bellan each drew two walks.

The Blackstone Valley Spinners fell 5-4 to the Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs on Thursday at Renaud Field, marking their first regular season home loss of the year and snapping a seven-game win streak.
The Spinners jumped out to an early lead in the second inning when Kyler Lorenz delivered a two-run single. Chris Goode added a spark in the fifth with a solo blast over the left field fence, bringing the Spinners within one.
Despite the loss, the bullpen shined. Justin Odsen came in and held the line with two scoreless innings, and James Borsari followed with a dominant frame to keep the Spinners within striking distance.
Offensively, Lorenz, Goode, Kyle Palardy, Kennedy Arias, and Tyler Bellan each recorded a hit. Lorenz led the team with two RBIs on the day.

The Blackstone Valley Spinners extended their winning streak to seven games with a dominant 7-0 shutout victory on the road over the Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs on Monday. The Spinners used a trio of arms—Kyle Palardy, Ethan Gray, and James Borsari—to combine for the shutout, with Borsari finishing strong, striking out three in the final frame.
Rylan Secovich led the charge at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a triple and three singles. He also wreaked havoc on the bases, swiping five bags to lead the Spinners’ aggressive running game.
Blackstone jumped out early in the top of the first inning behind a Chris Goode RBI single, a two-run single from Donavon Lopez, and an RBI double by Tyler Bellan to take a 4-0 lead.

Domenic Brazeau threw a complete-game shutout to lead the Blackstone Valley Spinners past Tatnuck 8-0 on Monday at Quinsigamond Community College.
Kyler Lorenz had a standout performance at the plate, going 3-for-4 with singles in the second, fifth, and seventh innings. The Spinners broke the game open in the top of the fourth when Kyle Palardy singled home two runs and Chris Goode followed with an RBI double.
The offense kept rolling in the fifth, scoring five runs on seven hits. Tyler Bellan grounded into a fielder’s choice that brought in one, Ruben Fernandez added an RBI single, Lorenz followed with another RBI hit, and both Kennedy Arias and Jack Dwyer contributed run-scoring singles.
The Spinners racked up 17 hits in total. Palardy drove in two runs while going 2-for-5, and Arias led all hitters with a perfect 4-for-4 day. Lorenz, Aidan McEvoy, and Dwyer also turned in multi-hit performances.

The Spinners got on the board in the bottom of the first with a groundout by Jack Dwyer that plated a run, setting the tone for the offense. In the second inning, the Spinners broke the game wide open. Marcus Baker doubled, driving in two runs, followed by an RBI single from Chris Goode. Dwyer was hit by a pitch to force in a run, Donavon Lopez singled home two more, and Tanner Gauthier capped the rally with a bases-loaded walk.
The offense stayed hot in the third, adding two more runs on RBI singles from Tyler Bellan and Aidan McEvoy.
Justin Odsen earned the win with a dominant performance, throwing a complete game five-inning shutout. Odsen allowed just three hits while striking out eight and walking one. His effort marked the third consecutive complete game thrown by a Spinners starting pitcher.

Blackstone Valley Spinners took the opener of Saturday’s doubleheader with a 5-1 victory over the Lunenburg Phillies at Renaud Field.
Lunenburg struck first with a run in the second inning, but the Spinners quickly responded. A passed ball in the bottom of the third allowed Blackstone Valley to tie the game at one.
The Spinners broke the tie in the fourth, capitalizing on a costly error that brought home two runs. Moments later, Rylan Secovich delivered an RBI single to extend the lead to 5-1, where it would stay for the remainder of the game.
Will Ernst earned the win for the Spinners, tossing a complete game. The right-hander allowed just four hits and one run over seven innings while striking out six and walking one.
Secovich led the offense with two runs batted in, going 1-for-2 on the day. JP Lucier, batting out of the eighth spot, collected two hits in two at-bats to pace the lineup. The Spinners displayed patience at the plate, drawing six walks as a team, and turned one double play defensively.

The Spinners erupted for 10 runs in the sixth on their way to the win. Dwyer started the rally with a solo home run to center field, followed by a three-run homer from Donavon Lopez to left. However, the lead was short-lived, as Tatnuck responded in the bottom half of the frame and pulled away late.

Right-hander Will Ernst got the job done on the mound, tossing four shutout innings while scattering four hits and striking out five. Patrick O’Connell followed with a clean inning in relief to help secure the victory. All the offense came in the top of the fifth when Chris Goode delivered a clutch two-run double, scoring the game’s only runs for Blackstone Valley. After giving up a run in the top of the first, the Spinners responded quickly. In the bottom half of the inning, Jack Dwyer singled to center to drive in a run, and Colin Favata followed with a groundout that brought in another, putting the Spinners ahead 2-1.
Kyle Palardy took the mound to start the game and picked up the win. The right-hander tossed three and one-third innings, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out four and walking none. He was followed by scoreless outings from Will Ernst and Easty Gousie. Thomas Papagni closed out the game and secured the save with a clean seventh.

The Spinners out-hit Offshore four to three and received a dominant showing from their pitching staff, which combined for 13 strikeouts while allowing just three hits and five walks.
Aidan McEvoy led the Spinners offensively, going 2-for-3 with an RBI single in the bottom of the first. Marshall Quinley added an RBI walk in the opening frame, and James Borsari contributed another in the third to extend the Spinners’ early lead. Domenic Brazeau got the start on the mound and delivered a dominant opening frame, striking out two in a perfect inning of work. Kennedy Arias also had a strong showing, going 2-for-2 with a pair of stolen bases, helping the Spinners stay aggressive on the basepaths with four total steals in the game.

Jack Dwyer’s Clutch Hitting Propels Blackstone Valley Spinners to Victory Over Offshore (GDSL)
Jack Dwyer powered the offense with three hits and four RBIs as the Blackstone Valley Spinners earned a 12-9 win over Offshore (GDSL) on Saturday. Dwyer’s three-run double in the fifth inning helped break the game open during a high-scoring affair at McCarthy Field in West Warwick, RI.
The Spinners and Offshore combined for 23 hits, with Blackstone Valley tallying 11 of them. Offshore struck first in the opening inning via a bases-loaded walk, but the Spinners answered immediately in the second with two runs—one on a Colin Bradford groundout and another on a bases-loaded walk by Kyler Lorenz.
A third-inning RBI double by Aidan McEvoy extended the lead, and the bats erupted in the fifth with six runs on six hits. Lorenz, Tanner Gauthier, Dwyer, and Aiden Hochwarter all contributed key RBIs during the inning, putting the Spinners firmly in control.
Will Ernst started on the mound for Blackstone Valley, allowing one unearned run across one inning. The bullpen held strong the rest of the way, with David Allan, Christian Campanella, Hochwarter, Thomas Papagni, Ethan Gray, and Lataille combining to contain Offshore’s offense through the later innings.
Offensively, Bradford and McEvoy each posted multi-hit performances, while the team as a whole showed discipline at the plate with eight walks. Alex Currie and Kennedy Arias each drew two free passes. Defensively, the Spinners turned two double plays to help preserve the lead.
The two teams will meet again on Sunday in a rematch at Renaud Field in Woonsocket, RI. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Blackstone Valley Spinners Set to Open Preseason Against The Offshore Baseball Club (GDSL); Welcome Jacob Gagnon to Coaching Staff
The Blackstone Valley Spinners are gearing up for a highly anticipated home-and-home weekend series against Offshore of the George Donnelly Sunset League. The two-game set kicks off on Saturday, May 17th, with the Spinners hitting the road to take on Offshore at McCarthy Field in West Warwick, RI with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 PM. This preseason / non-league matchup offers the Spinners an opportunity to test themselves against one of Southern New England's respected amateur clubs as they continue to evaluate their summer roster and build momentum for the 2025 CNEBA campaign.
The series will shift to Renaud Field in Woonsocket, RI on Sunday, May 18th, where the Spinners will host Offshore for a 4:00 PM rematch on their home turf. With both teams looking to establish early-season rhythm and bragging rights of the yearly preseason contests, fans expect competitive baseball and a showcase of top-level local talent. These back-to-back contests provide the Spinners a valuable test and a chance to fine-tune their chemistry before heading into the regular season.
As part of our ongoing efforts to elevate the program, the Spinners are proud to announce the hiring of Jacob Gagnon as an Assistant Coach for the 2025 season. A former collegiate athlete with a sharp baseball mind, Gagnon brings a wealth of playing experience and energy to the staff. He will be working closely alongside Head Coach J.P. Blackstone Valley Spinners Officially Open 2025 Preseason Practices This Week
The Blackstone Valley Spinners are back on the diamond as they officially kick off preseason practices for the 2025 summer campaign this Tuesday, May 14th, with a follow-up session scheduled for Thursday, May 16th. With the first preseason matchup looming just days away, the Spinners are eager to get to work and lay the foundation for what promises to be a highly competitive season in the Central New England Baseball Association (CNEBA).
Led by Head Coach J.P. Lucier and General Manager/President Marshall Quinley, the Spinners will use these opening practices to evaluate their revamped summer collegiate roster, sharpen fundamentals, and build team chemistry. With a mix of returning leaders and new talent from collegiate programs across the region, the energy is high as the club gets its first reps of the season in. The Spinners are focused and motivated as they prepare for their first test—a preseason weekend series with the Offshore baseball club this Saturday in West Warwick, RI followed by Sunday in Woonsocket, RI.
